Blocking Afghan Charter Flights

HN (Afghanistan) & Ors v SSHD C2/2015/2582

At last minute, we took on 32 asylum-seekers who were due to be sent back to Afghanistan, from which they had fled, by charter flight. Each client’s removal was prevented and the litigation resulted in rare generic orders preventing the removal of Afghans in such circumstances. There have since been no charter flights to Afghanistan and the number of forced removals to this country has significantly reduced.

We continue to fight for the rights of dozens of Afghans who have been let down by the system and are facing removal to Afghanistan.
